Robin Yochum

Director of State Outreach

Robin Yochum is the Director State Outreach at the Building Performance Association. She brings her passion for helping people through education on reducing the impacts of climate change in the built environment. Her expertise is in advancing energy efficiency and state and local climate policies to achieve carbon emission reductions. She has dedicated the most recent chapter of her career to clean energy policies, advancing sustainable practices through federal funding opportunities and state led initiatives while educating stakeholders on the importance of building energy codes, performance contracting, energy audits and upgrades and overall sustainable practices.

Robin has had an extensive career spanning over 20 years in the Commercial and Residential construction sector. Later, she transitioned into a state position where she collaborated with various groups such as policymakers, lobbyists, community leaders, federal agencies, local governments, non-profits, and other global stakeholders. Her role involved developing and implementing climate policy solutions, which included supporting the development of the Nevada Climate Strategy and implementing lighting efficiency and appliance standards. Additionally, Robin represented Nevada on a national level for the development and implementation of efficient building codes, specifically the International Energy Conservation Code for residential structures.
